Our finished Opening Title Sequence.
We had to completely change our idea in order for us to produce a successful opening title sequence. We filmed footage in college, using the camera hand-held, in order for an eerie, shaky effect to connote the typical horror feelings towards our audience. I then filmed various peoples faces in the style of close ups, with them looking menacingly into the camera. We did have our doubts about the final result of the footage, although when it was edited into slow motion, it was incredibly eerie and connoted the exact feelings we were hoping for. During our filming process we should have been much more organised and this is reflected in the fact that our final opening sequence does not have a real storyline, and is more of a montage, which also work well in the opening sequences of films.

There is proficient evidence of creativity in holding a shot steady, framing a shot, use of a variety of shot distances, filming of appropriate material/mise-en-scene, use of editing to produce a sense of enigma, the use of sound with images and editing, using shot transitions and other effects and the use of titles.
